Blue Canoe Waterfront Restaurant

Where ~ Blue Canoe - Steveston - BC

What ~ Fine seafood and martinis on the pier.

The Blue Canoe was sort of a last minute choice for us, on a romantic, spur of the moment dinner. It had a great location, and we wanted seafood. We started with a Thai Martini (pineapple, tequila and Thai basil) and the calamari (long steak strips, unbreaded). It was delightful and light. (I am not a fan of breaded calamari... Not in the slightest). For dinner I had the fresh crab tacos. There was so much crab stuffed into them, I was pleasantly surprise. The flavours were vibrant and fresh.
I have to say one thing I loved (strange as it may be), is that they had Barefoot Venus (one of our faves!) soap and lotion in the bathrooms. Two thumbs up there.
All in all it was a great experience, with fresh, flavorful, perfectly cooked food.

Any negatives? ~ Our appys took around 20 mins, entrees, roughly 45(after we had finished the appy). Had we not been so into our conversation, I'd likely have complained, a few times.

Price ~ $$$

Verdict ~ definitely worth going to if you're in Steveston, with a few hours to spare for your dining experience. Very romantic!
